With the Pro-Ams winding up it's time to talk about the serious side of this week and that is the Champions Tour event. Most people around here think the team to beat is the team of Tom Lehman and points leader Bernhard Langer.
I think just about anyone out there has a pretty good chance of this time as long as they play together well. You make 6 birdies each and you make them on the same holes it's no good. Six under par is not going to do any good. You make them on different holes and you're 12 under, that's really good.
Bernhard is, I said something really funny. I said everything is really good about the Champions Tour and it's that guy. Because he is amazing. But, he works his butt off, still. He was there yesterday all day, and the day before all day. I watch, I see what the guys are up to. And that's what it takes.
Anybody out here can make a lot of birdies. There for every team is a great opportunity if they can team well and cover each others mistakes.
The first group goes out tomorrow at 8:00. As for the group we're talking about, Tom Lehman and Bernhard Langer, they go off tomorrow at 9:17 along with Mark O'Meara and Estaban Toledo.
