SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Students were invited to a group exhibition that featured MFA candidates.

This is the first time photography students from the Savannah College of Art and Design have been given the chance to curate their own exhibition. 12 artists were given display basically what would be considered their final projects. Organizers say it took a lot of work to get to this point but it was well worth it.

"We've worked about 2 to 3 years on these projects, so we want to share what we do with everyone else in Savannah and then in the greater art community, and the greater art county. So yeah, it's important to share that work with other people," said SCAD graduate student Ashley Jones.

The students are also working on a catalog of their art which will be sent to all the major art departments at universities across the country.
