Technology at Armstrong Atlantic State University is going green. On Monday, the school unveiled the new Learning Commons. The building meets the standards of the U.S. Green Building Council, making it environmentally friendly. Inside there are a number of Mac and PC labs with interactive technology tables, audio and video editing rooms, a lecture space and more. Student leaders believe the other students will really utilize the new space.
"I think technology is the way to go. With the world progressing in technology, Armstrong is progressing as well. I think students will appreciate and enjoy it," said Kwame Phillips, Student Government Association president.
The building was previously used by staff only.
