SC bill would make some crimes ineligible for parole

COLUMBIA, SC (WTOC) -

 

A new bill in the South Carolina Senate would make more offenses ineligible for parole. 

The Island Packet reports that State Sen. Greg Hembree, R-Horry County, is sponsoring a measure that would define crimes that carry of crime of more than a year as "no parole" offenses. 

The bill is in Senate Judiciary Committee.
