Emanuel Co. couple indicted on murder charges

EMANUEL CO., GA (WTOC) -

A couple has been indicted for the murder of an Emanuel County man.

Samantha and Randy Scott were indicted in Emanuel County Wednesday on charges relating to the death of Samantha's father back in March.

Emanuel County investigators found Samantha's father, Kenneth Jones, 75, buried in a family graveyard after he went missing for several days.

The couple is facing several charges, including felony murder, concealing a death, kidnapping and false imprisonment.

The district attorney says he believes their motives were financial. Samantha also faces four counts of financial transaction fraud.
