Family of 4 displaced after house fire

CAMDEN CO., GA (WTOC) -

The American Red Cross Camden County Disaster Action Team volunteers responded to a house fire Saturday afternoon.

It happened at a home on South Groves Street in Kingsland. Two adults and two children, ages 3 and 4 years old were affected. Volunteers provided funding for foods, clothes and temporary shelter.

The fire started and was contained in a bedroom causing minor damage to the home. Electricity had to be shut off until the situation was under control, according to the Red Cross.

The family did not have insurance

No word yet on what caused the fire.
