A Vidalia dentist faces drug charges in Toombs County.

Toombs County sheriff's deputies said they were trying to find where a shooting had occurred Saturday on Joe Wolfe Road.

During their search, they stumbled upon a barn owned by 40-year-old Rebecca Wolfe and noticed a strong odor. After getting a search warrant, they found a meth lab inside, according to the Toombs County Sheriff's Office.

Wolfe and 21-year-old Matthew Garrett McCullough were arrested. Wolfe is charged with one count of purchase, possession or having under control of any controlled substance and one count of manufacturing meth. McCullough is charged with two counts of purchase, possession or having under control of any controlled substance (amphetamine) and possession of pseudoephedrine in altered condition.

There are drug charges pending against that shooting victim Michael Andrew Hester, 21, who's recovering in Meadows Regional Memorial Hospital.
