Young people are helping the city and county with critical decision involving youth-related services. It's all part of the annual Youth Summit.
The city of Savannah is hosting Youth Summit 2013 on May 13. It will take place from 5-9 p.m. at the Savannah Civic Center. Dinner will be provided.
The summit involves a work-based project that will result in a Youth Master Plan, which will be used by the Savannah City Council and Chatham County Commission to make decisions about young people and youth-related services.
The Savannah Chatham County Public School System approved the summit to be used as a community service. Students will be able to earn 4 out of the 5 community service hours needed for the school year.
