A Beaufort High School
assistant principal is on leave after being charged with DUI.
Island Packet reports that a Beaufort police officer pulled over Daniel Scott Tooman at
about 3:15 a.m. Sunday on Boundary Street for "driving left of center."
Police said that a breath test indicated Tooman
had a blood-alcohol level of 0.18 - more than twice the legal limit.
