Communication arts students at Savannah Arts Academy were treated like celebrities at their 8th annual Film and Media Festival Friday evening. They arrived in limos for the red carpet event. The movies showcased were entirely produced, shot and edited by the students, and included everything from short films, commercials, public service announcements and music videos.
"I also think it is really cool for the students to see what it is like for an audience reaction. They do not really get that in the class so it is nice to have the community come out and support this, support film at this level because we do have some really talented kids," said Marc Beringson, film and video teacher.
The students of Savannah Arts Academy have been working on their pieces all year.
