City seeks input on public safety issues

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A Public Safety Roundtable meeting that had been scheduled for May 20 has been postponed until June. The new date has not yet been announced.

However, the city is still asking the public to submit input on public safety issues in Savannah. The feedback will be compiled and submitted to the Public Safety Roundtable panel.

Submit your public safety input online here.

The roundtable meeting will be made up of elected and appointed officials from these departments: law enforcement, the courts, probation and parole, education, city and county governments and non-profit groups.

The roundtable session aims to identify key issues that affect public safety and develop an action plan.

The deadline to submit comments is 12 p.m. May 17.
