Movement in the Park

These days, all of us are trying to find ways to get healthier. We know it starts by making healthier choices at the dinner table, but we also have to get some exercise. Sometimes we walk or run or dance do yoga or perhaps zumba. We dropped in on this class at the Habersham YMCA tonight to see one of the trainers who'll be leading the excitement at "Movement in the Park" on Sunday.

Fleet Feet Sports Savannah will sponsor the 1 mile walk and Lady Mahogany and the SCAD Dance Company will lead the crowd in the Gangnam style as well as the Wobble line dances and the Harlem shake.

Registration is only $10 and all of the proceeds go directly to my Dawning of a Miracle Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship I award each year to a Chatham County Public or Private School graduating female who has or has had a chronic/life- threatening illness. We hope to pack Forsyth Park. I know this started as a girls only party, but over the last few months my very good friend,

Savannah Ophthalmologist Dr. Mark Manocha, has had some serious health issues. He asked me to include men so that everyone could work toward getting healthier. He's right. So guys, all of us girls want to see you at Movement in the Park too!

You can register online by clicking on this link: or at the park. The fun begins at 2 o'clock in beautiful Forsyth at the bandshell.
