St. Joseph's Hospital officials announced on Wednesday a major renovation project.
The $15 million project is slated to begin Monday. The exterior renovation is slated to cost $11 million and the interior work will cost $4 million.
Major changes for the exterior of the building include making it wind resistant to 130 mph. Other changes include energy efficiency will removing the threat of water penetration. The exterior work will take place in 13 phases and is scheduled to be done by June 1, 2014.
The building will be getting a new heating and air conditioning system, rooms and bathrooms will be renovated and nurses will get a new station. Work on the interior of the hospital, will take place in 22 phases, and is scheduled to be completed Jan. 1, 2015.
Patient and visitor parking won't be affected, according to hospital officials.
