SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Bomber Girls LRC continued a tradition Saturday to help raise funds to send care packages to deployed soldiers.

The 7th annual Armed Forces Poker Run started from VFW Post 660 in Savannah and finished at VFW post 6602 in Hinesville.

People participated on their motorcycles, cars, and trucks to compete for prizes, such as Six Flags passes, Splash in the Boro passes and a raffle for a customized 2013 Bomber Built beach cruiser bike.

"I'm all for what the Bomber Girls do, they support the troops and I'm a part of that. I was there, several times deployed and there ain't nothing like getting support packages with some chocolate chip cooks or something, just to show some support," said Veteran Scott Adams.

This event is one of two annual fundraises the Bomber Girls LRC puts on to earn donations to pay for care packages and postage.
