SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Allstate Insurance Co. and Sterling Autobody Centers gave away cars on Wednesday.

They presented to keys to a refurbished 2001 Mitsubishi Montero to the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Coastal Georgia as part of their Recycled Rides program.

The Interfaith Hospitality Network will use the vehicle to help homeless families get to and from vital appointments as they try to get back on their feet.

"We worry about dollars and cents every day and we worry about making ends meat. So having something that is recycled that is donated to us that we can use and really get folks to services that aren't just going to put a Band-Aid on homelessness, but truly end homelessness, that makes me smile," said Lavanda Brown of the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Coastal Georgia.

In the past five years, Allstate Insurance Co. and Sterling Autobody Centers have refurbished and given away more than 100 vehicles across the country.
