Folks Pack the Park for Team Cooper

Posted: Updated:
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Folks packed historic Grayson Stadium Wednesday night. The Savannah Sand Gnats team and fans are supporting Team Cooper. The one and a half year old has been diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, a severe epilepsy of infancy. Part of the proceeds from Wednesday's ticket sales are going to the Dravet Syndrome Foundation.

"It means a lot to us that the community has really come together for us. I know a lot of children have leukemia and different types of cancers and we just want to raise awareness for Dravet and seizure disorders in general. It's just great to have this outreach from the community that's putting all this together tonight," said Melissa King, Cooper's mother.

Cooper's brother Liam threw out the first pitch.
