A flash flood watch remains in effect until noon Friday for several parts of the WTOC viewing area.
The watch continues for these areas in southeast Georgia: Effingham County, Jenkins County and Screven County.
In southeast South Carolina, it includes these areas: Allendale, Beaufort, Charleston, coastal Colleton County, coastal Jasper County, Dorchester County, Hampton County, inland Berkeley, inland Colleton County, inland Jasper County and tidal Berkeley.
Tropical Storm Andrea will move northeast through southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina through Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Widespread showers and thunderstorms will be result in torrential rainfall at times and will taper off from south to north Friday morning.
The NWS predicts 3 to 6 inches of rainfall is expected over much of the flash flood watch area through Friday morning, but locally higher amounts are possible and localized flooding is possible.
