Bridge dedication to honor life-long Coffee Bluff resident

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson will be joining members of the Coffee Bluff community Tuesday for a bridge dedication ceremony in honor of Mary "Bootsie" Johnson. 

Johnson was shot and killed on Halloween in 2009 and was a life-long resident of the Coffee Bluff community and a long-term city of Savannah employee who served as the local Crusader Community Center's supervisor. She worked tirelessly on the behalf of all the residents of the Coffee Bluff area.  

Tuesday's ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on the grounds of the Coffee Bluff Fire Station, 13704 Coffee Bluff Road.
