According to officials, the traffic signal on
Highway 278 in front of the Bluffton Township Fire District located at 357
Fording Island Road will be turned off from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 12. Officials
say the signal is being rebuilt as part of the Highway 278 widening project.
The traffic signal is a flashing yellow light
that is used when emergency vehicles exit or enter the Bluffton Township Fire
District, Station 30.
All motorists should drive with caution in
the area during the hours of 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and be observant of emergency
vehicles entering the highway.
