Suspect in several area burglaries denied bond

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A man that police say is behind a series of burglaries and other crimes from Richmond Hill to Pooler was in court Thursday.

A judge denied bond for Terah Kamal Jones, 23. He was arrested at a Newel Street address in west Savannah Wednesday night by members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force and Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department Central Precinct detectives.

Jones has been charged with two burglaries. Police are also investigating at least nine similar burglaries in the Savannah area as well as thefts in Richmond Hill and Pooler.

Police say Jones was paroled in September after serving 15 months of a 60-month sentence for theft by receiving, theft by taking, receiving stolen goods and theft by receiving stolen property.
