SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) -

Crews with South Carolina Electric & Gas have restored power to nearly 4,000 customers in Summerville following a Friday morning outage.

According to the SCE&G outage map, the power loss originally affected 3,800 customers in the area of Bacons Bridge Road, Trolly Road, Miles Road, and Highway 17A.

The number of customers without power is now down to roughly 700, based on the outage map.
