Three charged in Buck Island Rd. burglary

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

At approximately 10:51 a.m. Friday, a man reported finding his residence on Buck Island Road in Bluffton burglarized. The victim told police that after he discovered the burglary, he spotted suspects in possession of his property in the parking area of White Oak Apartments, which is adjacent to his residence, sitting in a gold Honda SUV. When the victim confronted the suspects, the driver, Samuel P. Freeman, hit the victim with the vehicle and then hit another unrelated vehicle as they left the area. EMS was called out to treat the victim for his injuries.

Bluffton police officers responding to the incident spotted the suspect vehicle and stopped it on Buckwalter Parkway near Hampton Hall. Police located three male suspects and various items identified as stolen property belonging to the burglary victim, including a .40 Smith and Wesson handgun, inside the gold Honda SUV.

Freeman, 18, has been charged with first degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent offense, unlawful carrying of a firearm, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage to an occupied vehicle.

Landon Edward House, 18, has been charged with first degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent offense, and unlawful carrying of a firearm.

Carloryd De Edward Moss, 18, has been charged with first degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent offense, and unlawful carrying of a firearm.
