Arby's Foundation donates van to America's Second Harvest

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Arby's Foundation has donated a new van retrofitted with a refrigeration system to America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. The donation comes just in time for the start of their summer feeding program through Kids Cafe. The van will help provide meals to more than 5,000 children in Appling, Bulloch, Chatham, Effingham, Tattnall and Wayne counties this summer.

"We will take them out and actually be able to serve them at churches, community centers, camps and places where the children can go in their own neighborhoods because the children don't necessarily have access where they are able to get transportation to get something to eat, so we need to do it in their neighborhoods," said Mary Jane Crouch, America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.

This is the first of two vans the Arby's Foundation is donating to America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.
