SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Texas man charged in the wreck that killed Savannah jazz legend Ben Tucker is due back in court Thursday.

During Robert Martin's first court appearance, Chatham County Recorder's Court Chief Judge Tammy Stokes denied him bond.

Last Wednesday, Martin's attorney filed a motion asking Stokes to reconsider. Judge Stokes has set a bond hearing for Thursday. Martin's preliminary hearing is also scheduled for Thursday.

Martin is charged with racing, vehicular homicide in the first degree and reckless driving.
