Teen charged in Statesboro for vehicle break-ins

Statesboro police have made an arrest in several entering auto theft cases. 

Jaleen Oshai Jenkins, 17, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of entering auto and one count of criminal attempt to commit entering auto.  

Police said that Jenkins was spotted at Micro Computers on South Zetterower Avenue breaking into a vehicle and trying to enter another vehicle. He has also been charged with entering an auto that occurred at the Madison Meadows Apartments on Packinghouse Road. Valuables were missing from the two vehicles after the incidents occurred.  

Statesboro police said that there is no evidence that indicates Jenkins was involved in the other entering auto incidents that have occurred this month.

Police are urging residents to lock their cars becaise both of the cars that Jenkins broke in to were unlocked at the time.
