Man charged in crash that killed Ben Tucker released on bond

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The man charged in the crash that killed Savannah jazz legend Ben Tucker is now out on bond.

Robert Martin was released Thursday night. His bond was set at $75,000 with the condition that he does not leave the country or apply for a passport. Martin is banned from the state of Georgia expect for civil matters. He is not allowed to drive in Georgia.

The crash happened almost two weeks ago on the Grand Prix of America Boulevard on Hutchinson Island.

Martin has been charged with racing, reckless driving, and vehicular homicide in the first degree.
