WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) -

Walterboro Public Safety is investigating after three teens said they were abducted at gunpoint and almost sexually assaulted.

According to an incident report, one of the victim’s mothers met with investigators at Walterboro City Hall around 5 a.m. Saturday to report the rape. The victim’s mother said the three girls told her they were abducted at gunpoint at Edisto Terrace on Mable T. Willis Boulevard around 2:30 a.m.

The girls, aged 13, 13, and 15, said the suspects tried to rape one of them, but she was able to fight them off. The girls said they didn’t know where they were taken before the alleged attempted rape occurred.

The victims were also unable to identify their attackers, or provide a description.
