Man charged with car break-ins

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

A man is arrested and charged in connection with car break-ins in Statesboro.

Statesboro police responded at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday to The Cove at Southern on a report of a burglary and an entering auto. 

Charles A. Nash, 19, of Snellville, GA, is charged with two counts of entering auto, burglary, loitering and prowling and possession of a Schedule IV Narcotic.

During the investigation, Nash went up to officer Thomas McKeithen and reported suspicious activity, according to police.  A victim then told the officers still at the scene that Nash was the man he saw in his vehicle.

Nash was then arrested on two counts of entering auto and one count of burglary.

Other property has been recovered from the area. If anyone has reason to believe that any of the recovered property belongs to them they can call the  Statesboro Police Dept.'s Investigations Bureau.
