SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Savannah Mall is honoring members of the U.S. military, police officers, firefighters and emergency responders on Sunday night.

The event takes place from 4-6 p.m. Sunday. Military members and local heroes who present their IDs will receive free carousel rides, train rides and can register for prize drawings.

Children can visit at station at the food court to make handprints on a 8 foot by 12 foot flag that will be displayed at the mall's food court to honor military members and local heroes.

"The Savannah Mall is deeply appreciative of the service and heroism of our local military personnel and police officers, firefighters and first responders," said Savannah Mall General Manager Phil McConnell in a statement. "We hope that they will visit the Savannah Mall with their families on June 30 and enjoy some fun and free activities. It's our small way of saying thanks for all they do for our community."
