The Savannah Mall hosted a Military Appreciation Night Sunday evening.
They did their part of honor members of our armed forces; as well as police officers, firefighters, and emergency responders.
They and their families were given free carousel rides, train rides, and even face paintings.
Children were able visit at station at the food court to make handprints on a 8 foot by 12 foot flag, that will be displayed at the mall's food court to honor those military members and local heroes.
Organizers say it's just one small way they can show their appreciation for all these folks do for our city and our country.
"This is amazing, the folks here in attendance today clamor for these tickets every year, we sold out a week in advance this year. There's lots of flag waving and red white and blue, it gets pretty crazy but in a fun way." said Mario Incorvaia, Armstrong Atlantic State University.
WTOC's General Manager Bill Cathcart was in attendance this afternoon.
