The store sign has gone up at the new Whole Foods Savannah on Victory Drive.
The store is scheduled to open in the fall. The 35,000 square foot store is expected to create 100 jobs, according to a company news release. Whole Foods announced the new store in May 2012.
The supermarket will also display a 70-foot mural. Nearly 50 students at the Savannah College of Art and Design competed to have their work chosen as the mural design, according to the Whole Foods Savannah Facebook page. That mural is going up now on the building.
A banner hangs outside the storefront that says the store is hiring. Whole Foods is planning to hold an invite-only job fair in July, according to their Facebook page. Some of the store openings posted on the store's Facebook page include Store Artist and Payroll and Benefits Specialist. See job openings here.
Whole Foods Market has been chose as Fortune magazine's 100 Best Companies to Work For for the last 16 years, according to the company website.
