SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Residents in one Savannah neighborhood let the good times roll in celebration of Independence Day. The Magnolia Park Neighborhood Association holds a Fourth of July parade every year. Families take part on anything that rolls. Folks ride everything from decorated bike and scooters to golf carts. Allison Johnston explains why this day is so much more than just a good time with family and friends.

"We have a lot of people in the neighborhood who have served our country, and we want the children to learn that and to appreciate that. That is what today is all about. It can be fun, it can be a parade, but the Fourth of July to me means freedom, and we have our freedom because of the people who served our country," said Johnston, Magnolia Park resident.

The parade ended with the Pledge of Allegiance. The celebration continued with a pool party and cookout.
