Retired physician, Komen Race chairman passes away

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Savannah has lost a true champion for the Komen Savannah Race for the Cure.
Retired physician Dr. Amos Timna passed away Friday morning. He took over the reigns as race chair for the 2013 Susan G. Komen Savannah Race for the Cure. He's being remembered on the WTOC Facebook page for his years caring for women and their babies and for his work in the community.
A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday at Bonaventure Cemetery followed by Shiva visitation at Congregation Agudath Achim on Lee Boulevard in Savannah.
