Police respond to wreck at Bee Rd., E 31st St.

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Police responded to a crash at Bee Road and East 31st Street in Savannah around 8 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses say the driver of a truck tried to pass an Altima, almost hitting an on-coming car. The driver of the truck then swerved back into the lane and hit the Altima, causing his truck to overturn. They say the man climbed out of the truck and tossed a can. When police arrived, they put the driver of the truck in handcuffs.

There is no word yet on the charges the driver of the truck might face. Witnesses say one person in the Altima was transported to the hospital.
