Vietnam POW shares his story of survival

POOLER, GA (WTOC) -

A Vietnam POW shared his story of survival Saturday.  

The former fighter pilot was shot down and held captive for six years. Retired Col. Thomas Norris spoke at the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum Saturday. He shared his story showing wingman's and actual footage of being shot down. 

The now retired Air Force colonel has two Silver Stars, two Purple Hearts, several Distinguished Flying Crosses and other honors.

"I had a wife and kids back home so you have to do what you can to survive for your family,"said Ret. Col. Thomas Norris, United State Air Force.

WTOC's General Manager Bill Cathcart was also at the presentation.
