SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A little rain didn't stop thousands of people from enjoying the holiday weekend on Savannah's River Street.

Throughout the weekend people enjoyed the annual Fourth of July festivities. The four-day festival included dozens of vendors selling food and drinks, along with original art and handmade jewelry.

Vendors and businesses along river street say they saw an increase in crowds throughout the weekend.

"It's been great, it's been kind of quiet today, but that's to be expected. There were a lot of people down here on friday and yesterday was just phenomenal. we've sold lots of peanuts, made a lot of people happy. It's a little warm, but the winds been really nice, it's been a really good time down here this weekend." said Terry Lemay, The Peanut Shop.

Business say overall they were pleased with the turnout.
