Two people died following an early morning tractor-trailer crash that happened on Interstate 91 North, in between exits 27 and 28.
Massachusetts State Police said that the semi crashed into the median and was fully engulfed in flames when troopers first arrived.
The crash shut down I-91 north between the two exits for most of the morning.
Ten hours after the crash, still only one lane was open while crews continued to clean up.
This evening, state police identified the two people who died as 33-year-old Theodore Wilson and 45-year-old Eleanor Williams.
They are both from Birmingham, AL.
Police said they are investigating all possible contributing factors, including possible medical conditions.
