Several vehicles entered in Beaufort neighborhood

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -

A Beaufort neighborhood was struck overnight Saturday with a string of vehicle entries.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office said that between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning more than 12 vehicles were entered in the Shell Point area.

There was no sign of forced entry or damage to the vehicles, and it is believed all were left unlocked by their owners, according to the BCSO.  Small electronics, cash, wallets and a handgun were among the items stolen.

There is no information on possible suspects. The sheriff's office is urging people to lock up their vehicles and not to leave valuables in them.

If anyone sees suspicious people or activity, they should report it to the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843.524.2777.
