U.S. Sen. Tim Scott made his first official speech on the floor of the U.S. Senate.
At about 2 p.m. Monday, Scott took the floor, talking about all the business booming in the Palmetto State.
He made reference to a number of businesses - from the Lowcountry to the Upstate - proving South Carolina is a leading state in business.
"South Carolina is and always will be a continuing manufacturing engine for America," he said.
Scott also talked about how grateful he is for the support South Carolinians have given him from his time representing District 1 - until now - with his time in the Senate.
