Guardrail work continues in 3 Ga. counties

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Crews are repairing guardrails in Chatham, Glynn and Bulloch counties until July 12, according to the Georgia Dept. of Transportation. 

The work is being done from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until July 12, weather permitting. The work is being done on these roads in Chatham, Glynn and Bulloch counties:

Chatham County 

  • S.R. 26 at Allen Boulevard (lane closure)
  • S.R. 26 at I-516 eastbound (narrow ramp lane)
  • S.R. 204 EB at mile marker 11.5 (close shoulder)
  • S.R. 204 WB at mile marker 11.6 (lane closure)
  • I-516 WB at mile marker 2.9 (close shoulder)
  • I-516 WB at mile marker 3.5 Median (close shoulder)
  • I-516 WB at mile marker 4.3 Median (lane closure)

Glynn County

  • S.R. 520 Westbound at mile marker 6.6 (lane closure)
  • S.R. 27 under I-95 (shift traffic)

Bulloch County

  • S.R. 26 Eastbound at mile marker 2.6 (lane closure with flagmen)                               

Crews will be working in half-mile to 1-mile increments and relocating frequently. Drivers are urged to stay alert to changing work patterns, according to the DOT.
