The Children's Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center received a large check Wednesday from the Georgia Young Agents Committee.
The Next Generation is a non-profit organization that benefits the Children's Hospital accepted the $30,000 check. The funds were raised through a Charity Gold tournament. Ginny Carroll, vice president of Next Generation, explains what this means for the hospital.
"To have a golf tournament that was statewide and to have those funs donated to the Children's Hospital is just extraordinary for us," Carroll said.
Georgia Young Agents Committee, the group who donated the check, represents more than 800 agents in Georgia under 40 years old who belong to the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia.
