We now have a better idea of what started yesterday's police chase that began in Bryan County and ended in Chatham County with one man in jail.

Police in Bryan County say, when they went to pick up Sidney Grant for violating his parole, he took off in a car with an unknown woman.

Police caught up with the pair in Chatham County at King George Boulevard and 204. Grant and the woman jumped out of the car and tried to take off, but police caught Grant close to the secene and the woman down the road.

Police say Grant will face additional charges for fleeing from police and driving without a license. Tonight he's in the Bryan County jail.
