They say lightning doesn't strike twice, but one New Mexico family was struck three times on July 4th.

And one of the victims was pregnant!

Ian Gordon and Kendra Villanueva were watching fireworks on Independence Day when thunderstorms rolled in. The couple says they were preparing to go inside when suddenly they ended up on the ground.

Turns out they had been struck by lightning. The situation was especially bad for Kendra.

"When I woke up I didn't think she was going to be alive when I got to the hospital cause I fell right on her," she says.

Doctors did an emergency C-section on Kendra.

The baby, Kimberly Samantha Rose, appears to be okay but doctors are keeping her in ICU to be sure.
