SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A man convicted of armed robbery, aggravated assault and other charges against a SCAD student was sentenced Friday morning in Chatham County.

Judge Timothy Walmsley sentenced Raynard Lexie to a probated life in prison sentence. Lexie must serve 25 years for the aggravated sodomy charge, with the rest of the life sentence on probation.

The judge sentenced Lexie to 20 years each to the following charges: aggravated assault, kidnapping, burglary, and armed robbery, which he will serve concurrently.

On Sept. 21, 2012, Lexie was one of two men who ambushed a SCAD student at gunpoint as she was coming home. The two armed men forced her into a back room, robbed her and attempted to force sexual acts on her.

The victim's roommate then came home and was pushed down as the burglars left.
