SCREVEN CO., GA (WTOC) -

Screven County Emergency Management has confirmed that Herbert Jacob Pond's dam has breached. 

Officials say the breach happened around 11 p.m. Saturday night. Reports of large trees being swept across Highway 17, near Old Ogeechee Road.

Herbert Jacobs, the owner of the pond, tells WTOC he is worried about the safety of the highway and the train tracks.

    Orange Crush 2018 is in full effect this weekend, but so is the alcohol ban across Tybee Island. Law enforcement has been preparing for this huge annual event for some time. Patrol cars were lined up along Highway 80 as a cautionary measure to deter drinking and driving.
