BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

There is still no word on how a former president of the Bluffton Dog Park died.

William Grooms, of Bluffton, was found dead in his home Sunday morning. He was the president of the Friends of Bluffton Dog Park and had been accused of stealing more than more than $10,000 from the group. His wife was also charged for her alleged involvement.

Bluffton police are calling it an "unnatural death," but did not find anything suspicious.

The current president of the Friends of Bluffton Dog Park released a statement:

"We are saddened that William Grooms obviously wrestled with issues that caused sadness and distress to himself, his family and others. As humans, we are sad when anyone loses their own personal battle. However Mr. Grooms' actions will not affect the mission of the Friends of Bluffton Dog Park."
