The Faith Riders motorcycle group of Eastern Heights Baptist Church plan an appreciation day Saturday for local military as well as peace officers, fire fighters and other first reponders.
"These folks put their lives on the line for us day in and day out and most of the time we - dare I say - shamelessly don't give that a thought unless we need them in an emergency," said Dana Hubbell of the Faith Riders.
The event is open to members of the military and the public safety communities in Bulloch and surrounding counties. They will start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with a motorcycle ride through Bulloch County. It includes refreshments, speakers and a corn hole tournament.
The appreciation day will take place at the Faith Riders building on U.S. Hwy 301 South at the Veterans Memorial Parkway, next door to Flash Foods.
