Man shot near Skidaway Road, East 51st St.

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A man is in critical condition after being shot Tuesday night near East 51st Street and Skidaway Road.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said Gerald Williams, 30, was shot at about 6:24 p.m. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center with critical injuries.

Police said the shooting happened after Williams had been arguing with another man. Violent Crimes detectives are investigating.

Police are asking anyone who saw the shooting or events leading up to it or following it to come forward and share that information.
