Brandon Harris announced Thursday that he has verbally committed to the LSU Tigers.
Harris, a 4-star quarterback from Parkway/Bossier City, LA, chose LSU over Auburn and Ohio State.
The newest Tiger informed head coach Les Miles of his decision Saturday and becomes the LSU's 14th commitment of the 2014 class.
Harris is ranked as the No. 2 dual-threat quarterback in the country by ESPN.com and 247sports.com and No. 5 by Rivals.com.
Harris has been called by some the best quarterback to come out of Louisiana in the past nine years.
In his junior season, the 6'2, 186 pound Harris completed 152 of 306 passes for 2673 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also rushed for 677 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Harris said he plans to help recruit other big time Louisiana players for LSU including the Tigers number one target Leonard Fournette (RB, St. Augustine HS/New Orleans), Speedy Noil (WR, Edna Karr HS/New Orleans), Malachi Dupre (WR, John Curtis/New Orleans) and Trey Quinn (WR, Barbe HS/Lake Charles).
East Ascension running back Sione Palelei verbally committed to LSU on Wednesday.
