Body believed to be missing Glynn County woman found

GLYNN CO., GA (WTOC) -

The body of a missing Glynn County woman has been found.

Investigators found the body of what is believed to be 22-year-old Amber Whited in a wooded area off of Bladen Road at Highway 99. Police saod the body was found about 50 feet off of the roadway in a heavily wooded area.

Whited was reported missing on July 16. The body will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab for an autopsy and positive identification.

Investigators have identified a suspect in the murder. Raymond Michael Brasiel, 20, of Waynesville, faces charges in connection with Whited's death.

He is being held in the Glynn County Sheriff's Office in connection with the death of Bobby Jenks on July 19.

    After years of an almost complete moratorium, the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council voted 12 to 1 Monday to open a limited 2017 red snapper fishing season in the South Atlantic. If approved by NOAA Fisheries, the season will likely begin in mid-to late October.
